HBA Benefit Home

The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin has found a great way to give back to the local community. The Benefit Home capitalizes on their member’s resources, galvanizing talented builders and trades people, while mixing in a generous supply of sweat equity. Key Insulation is proud to have contributed to this cause by insulating this home.

collaborated with the premier building association to lead fundraising efforts to build The Nathaniel, a two-story home available now in Rancho Sienna. Thanks to the philanthropic efforts of these two organizations, the majority of proceeds generated from the sale of this home will go to the Ronald McDonald House and Dell Children’s Medical Center. This is just one example of how the 750+ members of the HBA contribute to the economic impact of the communities in which they build and make a direct impact on worthy causes within those communities. Since 1991, the HBA has donated more than one million dollars through community projects including Benefit Homes, Parades of Homes™ and numerous scholarships.

HBA_Benefit HomeCommittee members work with HBA members to solicit materials and donations to help build a new home; proceeds benefit local charities.

Picture6Every quarter, our drivers are recognized for their safety measures. The award covers four main areas: acceleration, braking, turning and speeding. This year our safe drivers for the   quarter are Orlando Casiano (top) and Renato Torres (bottom). Renato is also the recipient of our Insulate America Best Employee! Everyone here at Key Insulation knows that Renato is one of the Hardest workers in the company. His work ethic accomplishes even the most difficult schedules and tasks, and it is always done with high attention to detail and quality. His dedication to this company has resonated throughout fourteen years of service. If he isn’t working, it is because the work ran Picture7out. One might say Renato is not an outstanding employee, but rather that he is THE example of everything and beyond what a person would find in an outstanding employee. We appreciate everything Renato has accomplished at Key Insulation and look forward to see his time here as he continues to show what it truly means to work hard and live joyfully.

Employee Updates

The Power of Learning

Picture12At Key Insulation we are all about building engagement. We believe reading is self-training and helps     develop knowledge and skills in a variety of areas related to what we do every day. In order to motivate this “self-training” Ross has selected a whole library of books from which any employee will be able to check out a book. Through our online managing system BetterBookClub everyone will be able to tag books you have read, see what colleagues have read, and discover new books to read. The books have been assigned with a point system so there is a reward per point at the end of each quarter. Our hope is that this will offer teammates a new way to engage with each other and learn new skills with a little friendly competition. This quarter our book club winners are first place winner: Kelli Mock (right), second place: Grant Williams (middle), third place: Brad Bochet (not pictured).
