Yes
What is cellulose and how is it applied?
Cellulose is 85% recycled newspaper treated with chemicals to prevent it from burning, pest infestation, or mold. Rvalue is 3.7 per inch
What is foam and how is it applied?
Foam is a combination of 2 chemicals much like an epoxy that are combined at pressure through a special gun that sprays it against the wall. When the chemicals mix, they increase in size anywhere from 60 to 120 times their original volume depending on the type foam used. Rvalue is 3.8 to 7 per inch.
How are fiberglass batts installed?
Fiberglass batts are typically installed in a rough cut and fill method. Installers are only paid about 3 cents per square foot installed so they don’t have any motivation to take their time and minutely cut around pipes and wires. Often times, this hasty installation will leave gaps and voids in the wall around obstructions.
What is a healthy home?
A Healthy Home is one that has been designed, constructed, maintained, or rehabilitated in a manner that supports the health of its residents.
What is a hybrid insulation system?
Key Insulation installs blown cellulose, blown fiberglass and foam. A hybrid system is one where we utilize the proper insulation to match the homeowners insulation goals, budget, and the house structure. For instance, to save some money up front, a homeowner will often decide to foam the roofline and install cellulose in the walls. The foam/cellulose combination still provides a well insulated home without hitting the pocketbook as hard.
