Comfort
Comfort begins with the right insulation choice
High performance, energy efficiency, Green, sustainable homes and buildings are about many things and involve many different technologies; but one thing all these initiatives have in common is they all provide homeowner COMFORT. Whether you are a builder, homeowner, or architect / specifier, COMFORT is an important factor in what you need to provide or expect to get.

Regardless of where you start, COMFORT begins with a good insulation system. Builders need to provide comfort to the homeowner who purchases the home expecting it to be comfortable for them and their family. Homeowners want to feel good about their most significant purchase; the place they provide for and care for their family. Because builders need to provide it, and homeowners expect to get it, architects and specifiers need to design COMFORT into the design & build process.
COMFORT is about Peace of Mind and knowing we are satisfied or at ease because there is that lack of stress or distress with our purchase.

COMFORT cannot be assumed or taken for granted. The right installed insulation package will deliver COMFORT to everyone in the process cycle. The cavity fill systems offered by Key (regardless of product installed) will provide COMFORT because these systems are inherently better in providing higher thermal performance than almost any traditional installed batt system. These cavity fill systems remove gaps – voids and compressions from each wall cavity; which in turn reduces air flow through the wall, reduces drafts and loss of precious energy, and reduces the month-to-month cost to heat & cool; all of which improve the COMFORT level in the home.
There are many factors involved in defining COMFORT, and many of them are based in the performance of the insulation system. An insulation system installed to meet and deliver the stated R-value, and inspected to assure compliance, will yield the thermal result expected, which will provide COMFORT for the homeowner.

COMFORT comes from having or knowing some of the following:
  • The home will perform according to design
  • Rooms “feel more comfortable” without excessive thermostat settings
  • Rooms are balanced without significant differences from room-to-room. (Elimnate cold bedrooms at the end of the house, or that cold uncomfortable bonus room).
  • The energy performance provides month-to-month savings in energy costs to heat & cool the home
